Flip Cards is a system of learning using playing card sized cards that has been developed over more than 30 years to be the most effective, simple, method of learning and checking knowledge of maritime systems, codes and rules.

Each card shows the symbol or has a question on the face, with the answer on the back.

Each card shows a vessel's display of night-time navigation lights (in colour) or daytime shapes, as seen from your position. In the case of the cards showing lights the vessel's silhouette is just discernible. The meaning is shown on the back of the cards as usual.
